WHAT'S THE SHARP SHACK ORIGIN STORY?

Sharp Shack started as an idea in 2018 after being frustrated with service I was being provided by local big box stores. Once I started to read and learn what made a good sharpening good, the process began. Some helpful tips from industry friends gave me foundation of the business. Initially we were looking to service the immediate needs of youth and the adult leagues with basic supplies of sharpening and consumables (tape and laces). As the story goes, we quickly expanded our offerings to repairs and part replacements.

HOW DID THE SHARP SHACK EVOLVE?

After our first season we were poised to have a great 19/20 season, then covid hit. This forced us to be creative. Picking up 65 to 75 skates a week from a local prep school, working with local D3 Colleges and expanding to other services was a must. One shining light of the pandemic was the explosion of inline and off ice training. We were given the opportunity to work with some professionals from the AHL, ECHL and SPHL and provide them with some of the best tools for off-ice training.
